05.09.10 | Toseland 8th in Germany
Round 11 of the World Superbike Championship was held at Germanys Nurburgring today. BKS supported James Toseland experienced a tough couple of races with a DNF in a re-started race one, before battling brake problems to finish 8th in race two.
The Sterilgarda Yamaha rider had ridden brilliantly in Superpole yesterday to qualify in 3rd with a lap of 1:54.909. Unfortunately James was later removed from his front row starting position into 8th on the second row having been deemed to have left the pit lane too early in Superpole 3.
At the start of race one James managed to maintain momentum in to the first corner despite being squeezed up to the pitlane wall. Just a couple of corners in to the 20 lap race, James had to take avoiding action to miss a fallen rider ahead of him. The crash ultimately resulted in the red flags being issued and the race re-started. At the re-start James slotted in to 7th and quickly made up another place to go 6th before tipping off on lap 2.
James lost a couple of places off of the line in race two but almost immediately went back past the BMW of Ruben Xaus. For the remainder of the 20 lap race James enjoyed a tough battle with Xaus, with the double World Champion eventually coming out on top to finish 8th.
At the end of race two James said: That was not the day I wanted, but when you want to win so badly mistakes can happen. Unfortunately a brake problem, which was a result of the race one crash, cost me places in race two.

Oh dear James,so frustrating, and to top it off,Cal is going to MotoGP!! Next year should be interesting, especially with Marco Melandri joining the Yamaha team for 2011.
This year has been a bit like a bungee jump,up and down not knowing when you'll land on your feet.Take care,xx
