31.07.10 | Silverstone qualifying report

Britains James Toseland will start tomorrows two World Superbike races at Silverstone in Northamptonshire from 12th on the grid after a tough Superpole outing.

The Yamaha Sterilgarda rider had been on promising form at his home round and was looking to progress through to the final phase of Superpole when he came off at Farm Corner. The double World Champion was unable to rejoin the track and improve on his previous fastest time of 2:05.397 and so will start from the 3rd row of the grid.

"Up until this afternoon the weekends been going really well and so Im really disappointed to have crashed in Superpole. We didnt get to show what we could really do around here. Thankfully my leathers and gloves provided excellent protection so Ill be fine thank you to my sponsor BKS."

"Whats important now is that we focus on two strong races tomorrow; were looking ok for the races and confident with our set-up so I hope to put on a good show for the home fans."
