26.06.10 | Top Ten For James Toseland at Misano
Britains James Toseland finished the opening day of Round 8 of the World Superbike Championship 10th fastest today. The Sterilgarda Yamaha rider lapped San Marinos Misano circuit with a best time of 1'37.124, completing a total of 51 laps over the course of the day.
The double World Champion who is supported by BKS started the day by going 4th fastest in the mornings Free Practice session. Although he successfully improved on his lap time in the afternoon, he slipped down the order to finish 10th fastest overall.
Its been a bit of a disappointing day today, said James. To have had two tests here which went so well and only go tenth fastest today was not what we had hoped for. Not being able to use the ideal tyre from the allocation, with the temperatures as they are has sent us a bit wayward. But well go back to basics tomorrow and work to improve our current position, so Im looking forward to getting back out on track.
