Last weekend at Monza James Toseland was involved in a racing incident which saw him crash out of race two. The Yorkshireman was taken to hospital for precautionary checks following a glancing blow to the back of his neck. Luckily James was discharged shortly after with no major injuries.

James commented It was a case of too many people fighting for the same piece of track to begin with. I got boxed in at the first corner and I remember being next to Haga and breaking at the same time as everyone else, but someone in front braked a lot harder. The next thing I know Im falling into the back of Johnny Rea. I dont remember anything else then until Id pretty much stopped rolling down the road. I was taken to the hospital for some precautionary checks because Id taken a pretty heavy blow to the neck, but I was eventually allowed to leave.  As soon as I was out I knew Id be ok for South Africa this weekend, I just needed a couple of days to get back to full fitness. I havent had a chance to look at the TV coverage of the crash yet but Ill be interested to see it.

James will now travel to South Africa to prepare for round six of the World Superbike Championship. He would like to thank everyone for their support and level of concern following the incident.
